Golden Valley Electric Association – Fairbanks, Alaska installs the ETC CS-74 mini-SIP-Consoles in their remote sites, thus eliminating the need for dedicated leased lines and analog radio remote stations.
REVL Communications of Anchorage, Alaska supplied 12ea. ETC CS-74 VoIP mini-SIP-Consoles to be installed at various remote locations of the Golden Valley Electric Associations so they could access the TAIT Classic MPT 1320 Radio System which has been recently upgraded to IP for increased network access, efficiency, and redundancy.
REVL Communications and Systems designed and upgraded the existing Tait Radio system to eliminate the legacy analog radio remotes and dedicated expensive of leased lines. Using the existing IP infrastructure, ETCs CS-74s would then be able to connect to the Systems Radio(s) using the SIP mode of VoIP. This new solution not only increased reliability but reduced monthly recurring network cost.
